No Longer I, But Christ
No Longer I, But Christ
I have my voice, but Jesus speaking. Steps I take, but Christ is leading. Two as one, our hearts are beating - No longer I, but Christ.
My own eyes, but my Lord seeing. His I serve, but God’s hands reaching. My lungs fill with the grace he’s breathing - No longer I, but Christ.
More of you and less of me, that in my life it’s you they see. This, my Lord, my prayer to Thee; No longer I, but Christ in me. More of you and less of me, that in my life it’s you they see. Speaking, seeing, loving, serving - No longer I, but Christ ... in me.
Through his body and his blood, I’m renewed by saving love. Flowing grace is mine because, No longer I, but Christ. I tap his strength when mine expires, and feel the force of heaven’s fires. Raging, purging wrong desires - No longer I, but Christ
In me, through me, all around me - No longer I, but Christ. Jesus, hold me, and mold me. Teach me all that I must do to live and love like you.
I have my voice, but Jesus speaking. Steps I take, but Christ is leading, Two as one, our hearts are beating - No longer I, but Christ ... in me.
I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live no longer I, but Christ lives in me. Insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me.
– Galatians 2:20
